It had been awhile seen i visited this Portuguese restaurant in Newark. It is really fantastic and a gem in the heart of DownNeck section of Newark. There are a lot of great choices on their menu. If your looking for great homeland (Portugal) food then this is the place. The chef is out of this world. Sat down with two other gentleman and ordered a big tray of bbq chicken and pork chops. A must to go eat if you are ever in Newark.

Came here for brunch, this was a place a friend recommended to me, the place is located in a portugese neighborhood in newark, i had parking right infront which was great because newark in general is horrible for parking, the place has a restaurant side and a bar area. the bar side was already packed with regulars ( eldar gentleman) and people just kept coming and its like they all knew each other. i decided to eat at the bar section, i was like a new face in there, which didnt get odd because they were so welcoming....the guy at the bar i presumed as the owner asked what i wanted, i went with the bistoque..steak, fried potatoes, and a egg on top all covered with gravy sauce...food was delicious and it was only $18.95 with a coca cola....great place, have to thank my friend because it seems this place is mostly known from locals, awesome place.
